Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Therapy is an evidence-based approach focused on understanding and improving behaviours that are socially significant. Using individualized strategies, ABA helps clients develop skills in areas such as communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, and daily living. Our therapists work collaboratively with families to promote lasting positive change through structured sessions, behaviour support plans, and data-driven interventions. The unknown can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re facing a major life transition, struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating identity questions, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, uncertainty can bring discomfort, fear, and self-doubt. It’s common to find ourselves asking, “Why do I feel this way?” or “Where do I go from here?” Sometimes the “I don’t know’s” of life can pile up until they begin to cloud our sense of self, strain our relationships, or impact our ability to function day-to-day. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

As a therapist, I meet clients with openness and respect, creating a space where you feel truly seen and heard. Drawing from a range of evidence based approaches, I tailor our work to fit your unique experiences and goals. Whether you’re exploring gender and sexual identity, healing from trauma, managing ADHD or codependency, or working to build stronger communication and intimacy, therapy becomes a space to slow down, reflect, and grow. I view the phrase “I don’t know” not as a problem, but as an opening—a doorway to curiosity, insight, and possibility.

Our work together will center on building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to explore, question, and transform. With compassionate support and practical tools, clients often find themselves feeling more grounded, empowered, and clear about who they are and what they need. Whether it’s developing assertiveness, managing anger, navigating infidelity or conflict, or reconnecting to self-worth, therapy helps move from confusion to clarity—from “I don’t know” to “I understand”—and from surviving to living meaningfully and authentically

We are shaped by both nature and nurture, forces often beyond our control that affect us physically and emotionally throughout our lives. Understanding and addressing these influences is essential for personal growth and well-being. Unresolved past issues, present challenges, and future planning can sometimes feel overwhelming.

I use a combination of approaches to understand and address the needs of children, teens and adults. I believe that symptoms and behaviours have underlying causes that may be rooted in the client’s past or current life situation.

My goal is to create a safe space for safe emotional expression and healing. I help clients manage their symptoms while addressing the root of the problem by using a mix of talk therapy, art making and EMDR when necessary.

Sometimes we feel we are trapped in unfavorable circumstances and life has been unfair to us. You may feel upset, frustrated, and lonely. Finding a solution to a difficult situation seems impossible. There is that small inner voice that whispers “It’s all hopeless”.

We work together to shift the focus from seeing external factors as the primary cause of emotional struggles to realizing that the key to overcoming challenges often lies within ourselves. By exploring inner thoughts and feelings, we can discover new ways to approach and manage difficult situations. This process helps to build a deeper understanding and greater resilience.

My goal is to guide you in truly listening to and understanding yourself on a deeper level. When you make conscious efforts to become more aware of your thoughts and feelings, what once seemed hopeless can often reveal solutions. This journey leads to greater self-awareness and a stronger sense of self-worth, allowing you to approach challenges with newfound clarity and confidence.

It is common for parents to feel overwhelmed when they first receive their child’s diagnosis of Autism. They quickly learn that ABA is the “gold standard” for treatment, but parents need a provider who they can not only trust their child with, but who can also show results- both big and small. But how do they know they are choosing the right provider? How do they know that their child will receive an intervention plan that makes sense for their child? My approach uses the methodology of ABA in a way that makes sense to both a child and parent. We work together to pick goals that are specific & meaningful. While curriculums are excellent resources, and often necessary to support behaviour plans, they are not the only guide practitioners should use. We get to know your child, how they learn, what makes them feel joy, select challenging yet attainable goals, and develop teaching strategies that - yes - make sense. When a child is not learning, my team works to determine the issue at hand, then modify our teaching accordingly. For “problem behaviours”, Functional Behavioural Assessments (FBA) are also used in order to effectively identify contingencies maintaining the behaviour(s). ABA is not a cure. It is an evidence-based, real-life teaching tool that, when used responsibly and effectively, changes lives. We focus on all domains of life so your child can learn an array of skills, such as academics, communication, social skills, daily living skills, community living skills, self-regulation, health & fitness, and more!

With her team of trusted therapists, Lara currently offers remote or in-person support to individuals and their families through evidence-based, compassionate, and ethically grounded interventions. She specializes in training and supervising therapists, conducting functional behavioural assessments, developing individualized programs, maintaining consistent data analysis, skill acquisition and generalization, and working collaboratively with caregivers. Lara also uses an electronic data collection system, which keeps her practice efficient and focused where it matters most — on her clients’ progress. Lara believes meaningful behavior change happens when it is rooted in integrity, relevance, and collaboration — and when practitioners take the time to truly know their clients and build trusting relationships.

Sometimes, everyday tasks can feel overwhelming — for a child, that might look like frequent meltdowns, difficulty expressing needs, or challenges at school or home. As a parent or caregiver, it’s hard to watch your child struggle and not know how to help. That’s where I come in.

As an ABA Therapist, I use evidence-based behavioural strategies to support children in developing meaningful skills — from communication and emotional regulation to independence and social connection. My approach is client-centered and relationship-driven, grounded in patience, creativity, and consistency.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all plan. Every child is unique, and I take the time to understand their strengths, needs, and environment. Together, we work toward practical, achievable goals that support not just short-term progress, but long-term confidence and growth.

In our sessions, your child will find a structured, supportive space where they can:

  • Learn and practice communication and language skills

  • Strengthen emotional regulation and reduce challenging behaviours

  • Build independence in daily routines and self-help tasks

  • Improve social interaction, play, and turn-taking skills

  • Develop coping strategies that foster resilience and confidence

ABA isn’t about rigid compliance — it’s about helping children understand the world around them and empowering them with the tools they need to thrive in it. I value collaboration with families and caregivers, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Society often creates an invisible race where people feel pressured to match the achievements, lifestyles, and appearances of others around them. This constant comparison can make individuals feel like they are falling behind, even when they are making progress at their own pace. Over time, the weight of trying to “keep up” can lead to feelings of low self-esteem, low self-worth, isolation, anxiety, and depression. When people start to measure their worth based on someone else’s timeline, it becomes easy to lose sight of their own value and unique journey, causing deep and lasting impacts on mental health.

Our work together will begin with forming a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy and mutual respect. This relationship will be the foundation of our journey together. I utilize Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) interventions tailored to your specific needs, experiences, and goals. We will conduct the sessions at your pace, as you are the author and expert of your own story.

As a therapist, I strive to establish strong, trusting relationships with my clients, creating a safe space where they can freely explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges without fear of judgment. My goal is for you to apply what you have learned in our sessions to your everyday life, so that one day, you won’t need me anymore.

I offer support to individuals and couples who are seeking to understand themselves better and heal. This process requires courage and guidance, which I am dedicated to providing. I aim to help transform and strengthen your connections and relationships.

Life can leave you feeling stuck, anxious, or disconnected, from others and even from your own body. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by stress or big emotions that feel hard to manage. Maybe relationships feel strained, or old trauma is resurfacing in ways you don’t fully understand. Whatever you’re facing, it’s not always easy to figure it out on your own.

I offer a grounded, body-focused approach to therapy that helps you process emotions not just through talking, but through tuning into what your body is telling you. Using Somatic Therapy alongside tools from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I’ll support you in understanding your inner world and building the skills you need to move forward.

Together, we’ll explore the deeper patterns behind your emotional struggles and work toward lasting change, not just symptom relief. You’ll learn how to feel more in control, more present, and more connected to yourself and your life.

In our sessions, you’ll find a warm, accepting space where your experiences are met with care and not judgment. I’ll tailor our sessions to your unique needs and pace, helping you:

-Understand and regulate overwhelming emotions

-Heal from trauma and stress stored in the body

-Navigate relationship challenges with more clarity and confidence

-Build inner stability, trust, and emotional resilience

This work isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you feel safe in your own body again, and rediscovering a sense of calm, clarity, and connection.

Before dedicating myself to psychotherapy, I worked as a lawyer. Although it was a successful and rewarding career, I felt a deep calling to support individuals and couples on a more personal and transformative level. My own experiences of going through significant life changes, including immigrating to Canada, have given me a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges that arise from such transitions.

Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience working in various settings, including educational and clinical environments, as well as in private practice. These experiences have allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for the complexity of human experiences and the resilience of the human spirit. I believe that everyone has the capacity for change and growth, and I am dedicated to helping you unlock your inner potential.

In our sessions, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns, process past traumas, and develop strategies to cope with anxiety and relationship difficulties. I draw upon evidence-based approaches such as CBT to help you identify and challenge negative thought patterns, EFT to enhance emotional connections and foster secure relationships, and somatic experiencing to support the integration of mind and body in healing.

I approach therapy from a client-centered perspective, recognizing that you are the expert of your own life. I will listen attentively, validate your experiences, and collaborate with you to develop tailored treatment plans that address your unique needs and goals. Together, we will work towards empowering you to create positive changes, develop healthier coping strategies, and cultivate fulfilling relationships.

I am honored to join you on this transformative journey. If you’re ready to embark on a path of healing and personal growth, I invite you to reach out and schedule a session. Remember, you are not alone, and I am here to support you every step of the way.

At times we are unhappy with ourselves, personal relationship, work, and within various “roles we play” in life. If we do not accept it, we often tend to blame external factors (parents, partners, supervisors, neighbours, sometimes - the government, or even global issues). We become stressed, anxious, angry, depressed, or sad. We then target our “anxiety”, or “mood disorder”, or an addiction to things, substances, or experiences, we remain unhappy and frustrated until we start looking inward. It is dark there and hard to see anything. We need the tools, the light, and mainly – the courage to explore our own “contents”, our souls, our psyche.

There are various ways to explore our souls. The goal of this exploration is to discover and bring the treasures up to our conscious mind. A self-reflective process enables us to produce a visible and tangible image of what we may be experiencing, explore what arises from it and find insight and meaning to the emotions and raising self-awareness.

I can facilitate this process and be your companion, and, if necessary – your guide. Your expectations of yourself and others will adjust in the process, frustration will leave you, and you will see the path to move forward.
